Ruth Rodgers earned her bachelor’s degree in 1980 from Virginia Tech in Blacksburg, Virginia, and her master’s degree in 1982 from Auburn University in Auburn, Alabama.

Rodgers served as a financial assistance counselor, the director of cooperative education and internships, the dean of students, and the vice president of student affairs during her 13 years at St. Mary’s University in San Antonio, Texas. She spent four years serving as the director of residence life at Virginia Commonwealth University and the Medical College of Virginia, and worked in residence life and career services for two years at Auburn University.

Rodgers joined the Marian University community in 2005, following a brief hiatus to spend time with her family. Rodgers feels privileged to serve at our Catholic, Franciscan university, supporting students and their development. She is married to Dr. Kevin Rodgers and they have four sons (Patrick, Sean, Ryan, and Daniel). They are parishioners of St. Malachy parish.
